Four calm games for toddlers
By Dmytro Syrykh, the parent who makes Kidster
Kidster’s Play mode has four games. Each one uses the same cards a child has already met in Learn mode, so a game is a chance to find something familiar rather than a test. Nothing is timed, nothing is scored, and a wrong tap is just a gentle shake of the card.

Guessing Game
A voice names an animal, a color, a shape or a number, and your child taps the right card out of four. The question can be asked again with the speaker button. A wrong tap gets a little shake “no” and the question waits.
Free in every theme.

Matching Pairs
Cards lie face down and your child turns them over two at a time to find the ones that match. Every card says its word when it turns over, even when it isn’t a match, so the game teaches while it plays.
Animals are free; colors, shapes and numbers come with Premium.

Counting Game
Things are scattered across the screen and your child taps each one while the voice counts out loud. At the end the voice says the total. Always up to ten, so it stays within reach.
Animals are free; colors and shapes come with Premium.

Whose Shadow?
A dark silhouette sits at the top and your child finds the card it belongs to. There is no question spoken first: the picture is the question. A right answer rises into the shadow and makes its sound.
Animals are free; shapes come with Premium.

Help when it’s needed
In the first round a hand shows the first move. After that it appears only if your child pauses, so a child who knows what to do is left to do it.
What is not in these games
No levels to unlock, no stars to collect, no streaks and no leaderboards. A finished game ends with a short celebration, and that is all.

Hear every word, in any of eleven languages
