Chick sounds for kids

SaysPeep peep

What sound does a chick make?

A chick peeps: peep, peep, peep. Chicks start peeping while they are still inside the egg, and the mother hen clucks back. A soft, slow peep means a chick is warm and happy; a loud, fast one means it is cold or has lost its mother.

Try it together

Make a tiny high “peep” and a big low “cluck”, and ask your child which one is the baby.

One animal, drawn three ways

Every card in Kidster comes in three styles. Some children love the cartoon, others recognise the real animal sooner. A parent picks the style in the Parent Zone, and the sound stays the same.
