Fox sounds for kids
SaysOw-oooo
What does the fox say?
So what does the fox say? A fox screams, barks and yips. The sound people are most surprised by is a sudden, high scream — “ow-oooo!” — that foxes make mostly in winter and that can sound almost like a person. Foxes also have a short, high bark a bit like a small dog, and fox cubs play with a chattering sound called gekkering.
Try it together
Give a short, high “ow-oooo” like a fox calling in the dark, then tiptoe away with a big bushy pretend tail.
One animal, drawn three ways
Every card in Kidster comes in three styles. Some children love the cartoon, others recognise the real animal sooner. A parent picks the style in the Parent Zone, and the sound stays the same.
