Shapes in Japanese
By Dmytro Syrykh, the parent who makes Kidster
Spoken by a native Japanese voice, the same recording a child hears in the Kidster app.
All of these are free in Kidster.
Good to know
Japanese builds polygon names from numbers and 角形 (kakkei, “angled shape”): 三角形 (sankakkei), 五角形 (gokakkei). A circle is 円 (en), the same word as the yen. Some shapes, like ピラミッド and リング, are borrowed from English.
