Donkey sounds for kids
SaysHee-haw
What sound does a donkey make?
A donkey brays: hee-haw! The “hee” is made breathing in and the “haw” breathing out, which is why the sound seesaws. Donkeys come from deserts where friends can be far apart, so their bray is very loud and can be heard about three kilometres away.
Try it together
Breathe in for “hee” and out for “haw” — it is a good game for little lungs.
One animal, drawn three ways
Every card in Kidster comes in three styles. Some children love the cartoon, others recognise the real animal sooner. A parent picks the style in the Parent Zone, and the sound stays the same.
