Lion sounds for kids
SaysRoar
What sound does a lion make?
A lion roars. A lion’s roar is one of the loudest sounds in nature and can be heard up to eight kilometres away. Lions roar to tell other lions where their family is and which land belongs to them. Lion cubs can’t roar yet; they mew and growl instead.
Try it together
Start with a tiny cub’s mew and grow it into the biggest roar you can, then curl up for a nap.
One animal, drawn three ways
Every card in Kidster comes in three styles. Some children love the cartoon, others recognise the real animal sooner. A parent picks the style in the Parent Zone, and the sound stays the same.
