Zebra sounds for kids
SaysEe-hee-hee
What sound does a zebra make?
A zebra barks and brays. Its call is a high, squeaky whinny that sounds a lot like a horse, often with a yapping “kwa-ha” mixed in, a bit like a small dog or a donkey. Zebras call to keep their herd together and to warn of danger.
Try it together
Whinny like a horse, then add a yappy “kwa-ha” at the end, and ask which animal has stripes.
One animal, drawn three ways
Every card in Kidster comes in three styles. Some children love the cartoon, others recognise the real animal sooner. A parent picks the style in the Parent Zone, and the sound stays the same.
